Gizwits understands the importance of personal information to you and will do its utmost to protect your personal information securely and reliably. Specifically, it refers to the smart terminal you purchase and use.
Application: Refers to mobile applications (including mobile clients and mini-programs) developed by Gizwits that help end-users remotely control smart devices and connect to the Gizwits IoT platform.
2.What Personal Information We Collect from You
The applications we provide rely on certain information to function properly.
When you choose to use the login function, add device function, and control device function of the application, you need to provide us with or allow us to collect the necessary information, including:
(1) Personal Account Information
Scope of Collection: We will obtain your phone number or email address.
Purpose of Collection: To create a Gizwits account.
(2) Handheld Terminal or SIM Card Related Information
Scope of Collection: We will collect information related to the handheld terminal running Gizwits, including device serial number, device MAC, software installation list, unique device identifiers (IMEI/IMSI/OAID/Android_ID/OPENUDID/GUID/SIM card IMSI information), sensors, phone model, system version information, system language, device manufacturer information, network operator information, contacts, and app running process information.
Purpose of Collection: To provide Wi-Fi device configuration, Bluetooth device configuration, and NFC device addition services based on consumer choice and consent.
(3) Smart Device Terminal Information
Scope of Collection: We will also collect information related to the smart terminal devices bound to your account, such as MAC address, device ID (DID), serial number, device IMEI, SIM card IMSI information, device time zone, device network status (IP/network signal), firmware version, and app running process information.
Purpose of Collection: To provide device connection, device control, device status synchronization, and device linkage services.
(4) Login Information
Scope of Collection: We will collect information related to other mobile applications and websites you use, such as cookies and other anonymous identifier technologies, IP addresses, network request information, temporary message history, standard system logs, and system crash information.
Purpose of Collection: To provide third-party platform login and third-party authorization login services based on consumer choice and consent.
(5) Account Credentials
Scope of Collection: Information related to your account credentials, such as passwords, password security questions, and answers.
Purpose of Collection: To provide password reset functionality.
There are a total of 5 types of personal information collected.
3.You Can Choose to Provide or Allow Us to Collect the Following Information:
(1) Some Personal Account Information:
Scope of Collection: Includes some of your Gizwits account information, such as your name, gender, avatar, address settings, and information you provide when submitting user feedback and suggestions, including your email/phone number, feedback content, and issue logs.
Purpose of Collection: To provide account settings functionality, synchronize account information, and handle feedback issues.
(2) Location Information (Applicable Only to Specific Services/Functions)
Scope of Collection: Various information related to your location, such as region and country codes, city codes, mobile network codes, mobile device country codes, cell identification codes, area names, latitude and longitude information, time zone settings, and language settings.
Purpose of Collection: To provide weather services, home address location settings, and geofencing services.
There are a total of 2 types of personal information collected.
This information is not necessary for the main functions of the application, but it is significant for improving service quality, using specific services/functions, and developing new products or services. We will not force you to provide this information, and refusal will not adversely affect your use of the main functions of the application.
4.When Using the Following Application Features, Our App Will Request the Following System Permissions Related to Personal Information:
(1) Microphone Permission: The voice control and lighting device rhythm functions in the application will obtain sound information through your phone's microphone for analysis. All raw sound information is processed on your mobile device and will not be stored or uploaded to external servers.
(2) Camera Permission: The application’s QR code scanning, avatar changing, and wallpaper changing functions will capture images through your phone’s camera for processing. Avatar and wallpaper images will have EXIF information removed and be uploaded to the server for storage. These will be deleted when you change your avatar or wallpaper next time or when you delete your account.
(3) Access to Photos Permission: The application’s avatar and wallpaper changing functions will obtain image information through your phone’s photo album for processing. The selected avatar and wallpaper images will have EXIF information removed and be uploaded to the server for storage. These will be deleted when you change your avatar or wallpaper next time or when you delete your account.
(4) Geolocation Permission: The application’s home location editing and geofencing functions will request your phone’s geolocation information and upload it to the server for storage. This information will be deleted when you update your home location or edit the scene next time.
(5) Access to Contacts Permission: The application’s emergency contact setting function will request your phone’s contact information for quick input. The selected contacts will be uploaded to the server for storage and will be deleted when you update emergency contact information next time or when you delete your account.
(6) Bluetooth Permission: The application’s functions for discovering Bluetooth devices, networking for Bluetooth devices, obtaining Bluetooth device status, and controlling Bluetooth devices will request your phone’s Bluetooth permission. We will use Bluetooth for communication only in these functions.
(7) Storage Permission: To ensure the stable operation of the application, we need read/write permissions to your device’s storage to read/write images, files, and crash log information from/to your device’s storage space. This is necessary to provide information release functions or to record crash log information locally.
There are a total of 7 system permissions.
If you do not grant these permissions, we will not be able to provide the application functions. Besides the above permissions, you can choose whether to grant additional system permissions to the App.
5.Third-Party SDK Directory and Third-Party Shared Information List
We conduct strict checks on third-party SDK and API integrations and will promptly disclose the latest integration status to you. Please refer to the official privacy policies of third parties for details.

(1) Device Identifiers (including IMEI, IDFA, Android ID, GAID, MAC, OAID, IMSI, MEID, UAID): Used to generate anonymized unique identifiers for end-user devices to ensure accurate message push and user behavior recording.
(2) Device Hardware Information (including device model, screen resolution, hardware manufacturer, product name): Ensures service compatibility across different devices and accurate message delivery.
(3) Operating System Information (including OS version, system name, system language): Ensures service compatibility across different devices and accurate message delivery.
(4) Network Information (including network type, carrier name, base station information, IP address, WiFi information, SSID, BSSID): Determines SDK-server network connection status to ensure service stability and continuity.
(5) Push Notification Logs: Allows you to query push service records and understand message delivery status.

Purpose of Use: We use JPush as the push engine for app-to-end notifications. The self-start and associated start functions of JPush are to improve message delivery rates and provide timely message reminders. The associated start function is enabled by default to maintain app activity. If you do not wish to enable this function, we recommend manually turning it off. The general path is: Settings - Apps - App Startup Management - Select “Gizwits” - Disable Associated Start Function.

Personal Information Collected: Error log information, sensor data (including current battery temperature, battery level, screen size, model, system, resolution), monitored sensors.
Purpose of Use: To locate issues occurring on specific devices and conditions, collect exception logs, monitor errors, and extract useful information for analysis without relying on user feedback.
Collecting user behavior data aims to improve user experience by providing high-quality services with the best hardware support and third-party products. We will take all necessary reasonable measures to ensure your data is stored securely. Furthermore, only employees, manufacturers, and other third parties with business needs can access your user behavior data. They will analyze your data under our instructions and are bound by confidentiality obligations. Please note that by using our application, you acknowledge, understand, and agree to accept data collection practices. This policy is effective throughout your use of the application. If you do not agree with this policy, you should immediately stop using the application and services.
6.How We Use Your Personal Information
For necessary personal information, we will use it to provide the main features of the application, including:
(1) Creating Your Gizwits Account: The personal information collected when creating an account through our web page or mobile device is used to establish the user’s personal account and profile.
(2) Device Access: To operate the device through the app, it is necessary to verify the authenticity of the device. We will need to verify the factory MAC and DID information to confirm the legitimacy of the device. Additionally, if the device needs to connect to a network, the app will need to set up the network for the device, requiring you to enter the corresponding Wi-Fi name and password. This information is only used for network configuration and is encrypted and stored locally on the device, not uploaded to the server. You can delete this information at any time by accessing the device settings. Additionally, we will determine the best network connection method for the device by evaluating the IP and network signal to ensure stable connectivity.
(3) Device Status Display: Allows you to remotely view the status of your device to monitor its operational status at any time.
(4) Device Control: Allows you to remotely control your device.
(5) Setting Automation Tasks: The event information reported by your devices (information from the devices you add, specific settings depend on your privacy authorization for each device, and each added device will provide the privacy policy terms from the device provider for your approval) can be used to create personal automation tasks.
We will also use the above information to maintain and improve the application’s features and develop new business functions.
7.For Non-Essential Personal Information, We Will Use It for the Following Purposes:
(1) Providing Push Services: Account and IMEI numbers will also be used to provide push services to send device notifications to users. You can turn off this feature at any time by changing the preference options under "Message Settings."
(2) Providing Location-Based Services: When using Gizwits and connecting to Gizwits smart terminals, we will use location information to determine the device’s time zone, ensuring the correct display of time and login service area. Additionally, based on your preferences, we will pre-enable the relevant device experience. You can disable this feature at any time by accessing the device settings or by stopping the use of this application.
(3) Sending Notifications: We will occasionally use your personal information to send important notices, such as notifications about device abnormal operation status, customized device push notifications (depending on the devices you purchase and add), and changes to our terms, conditions, and policies.
(4) Collecting User Feedback: Your feedback is valuable for helping Gizwits improve our services. To track your feedback, Gizwits will use the personal information you provide to contact you and keep records.
8.How We Entrust, Share, Transfer, and Disclose Your Personal Information
(1) Entrust Processing:
Certain specific modules or functions of this application are provided by external suppliers. We will use the services provided by external service providers to achieve our business functions. For companies, organizations, and individuals that we entrust to process personal information, we will require them to handle personal information in accordance with our requirements, this privacy policy, and any relevant confidentiality and security measures.
(2) Sharing:
We will not share your personal information with any company, organization, or individual outside of our company unless we obtain your explicit consent.

We may provide statistical information about your use of smart terminals to Gizwits partners in a timely manner. This statistical information does not involve your name, account, password, phone number, email, or other personal information.
If our partners legally disclose the information collected and its usage purposes to you and obtain your consent, we may disclose your personal information to the third party according to your permission. For your personal information security, we will de-identify or anonymize your personal information before disclosing it to third parties.
We will disclose your personal information as necessary according to legal requests from government departments.
If we determine that disclosure is reasonably necessary to enforce our terms and conditions, protect our operations or users, or involve significant public interest, we may disclose information about you.
If there is a reorganization, merger, or sale, we may transfer all personal information we collect to the relevant third party.

Your authorization to Gizwits will include various subprocessors handling your personal information. 3.Delete Your Personal Information

If we decide to respond to your deletion request, we will also notify the entities from which we have obtained your personal information to promptly delete it, unless otherwise provided by laws and regulations or those entities have obtained your independent authorization.
After you delete information from our services, we may not immediately delete the corresponding information from the backup system but will delete it during the next backup update.

5.Other Instructions
(1) If you are a user under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) in the European Union, you have the right to request us to erase your personal information. We will consider the reasonableness of such a request and take appropriate technical measures if GDPR-related provisions apply.

(6) For the protection of significant legitimate rights and interests such as the life and property of personal information subjects or other individuals but it is difficult to obtain consent.
(7) Responding to the personal information subject’s request will result in serious damage to the legitimate rights and interests of the personal information subject or other individuals and organizations.

IV. How Your Personal Information is Transferred Globally
This policy is formulated in accordance with the laws of the People's Republic of China and is governed by the laws of the People's Republic of China.
Personal information collected and generated within the territory of the People's Republic of China will be stored within the territory of the People's Republic of China.
